Sailing from Split: the perfect 7-day route
A proven one-week itinerary from Split across the central Dalmatian islands — Hvar, Vis, Korčula and back, with anchorages and marina tips.

Split is the busiest charter base on the Adriatic for a reason: within a few hours of sailing you reach some of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. This is the route we recommend to first-time visitors — relaxed distances, safe harbours, and a different view every evening.
Day by day
- Saturday — Split. Check-in, provisioning, short hop to Maslinica on Šolta (8 NM).
- Sunday — Hvar. Cross to Hvar town, moor at the riva or buoys by the Pakleni islands.
- Monday — Vis. The furthest point of the week. Komiža or Vis town; both are worth it.
- Tuesday — Korčula. Long leg east (25 NM) to Marco Polo's walled town.
- Wednesday — Šćedro / Zavala. Quiet bays on Hvar's southern side.
- Thursday — Bol on Brač. The famous Zlatni Rat beach and a lively waterfront.
- Friday — back to Split. Overnight in the home marina, check-out on Saturday.
When to go
June and September give you warm sea, steady maestral afternoons and half-empty harbours. July and August are livelier — book marina berths ahead.
A week is enough for this loop without a single long day. Keep the legs short and swim more — that is what Dalmatia is for.
